Wellness Exams
Wellness exams are essential to your pet’s well-being. During wellness exams, your pet will get an overall examination to assess health status. At this time we can also do screening blood work to check for any early changes in organ function, discuss parasite prevention and control, and go over any questions or concerns you may have for your furry friend.
Vaccinations
Vaccines help to protect your pet against specific infectious diseases caused by some viruses and bacteria. They stimulate the body’s immune system to detect infection and help the body fight against infection if necessary in the future. When determining what vaccines your pet needs, we will look at his/her health status, age, lifestyle and what diseases are common in our area, and then tailor a vaccine plan that is specific to your pet.
Surgery
In our surgical suite we are equipped to take care of all your pets routine and many non-routine surgical needs. We offer routine surgeries such as spays and neuters, as well as mass removals and other soft tissue surgeries. If your pet requires a surgical procedure that we are not able to perform in our hospital, we will be there to recommend a qualified surgeon and help set up your referral so that everything goes as smoothly as possible.
Dental Care
Dental disease is one of the most common health issues in our companion animals. We provide dental cleanings and minor oral surgery, such as extractions, here at our office. We also offer educational materials and consultations to help you prevent dental disease and decrease the need for dental cleanings.
In-House Laboratory
We offer a complete in-house laboratory that can quickly provide us with diagnostic results to help get your pet feeling better, as well as, to provide wellness screenings to help us track your pet’s health as they age. We also work closely with an outside diagnostic lab to assist with most specialty testing that your pet may also need.
Radiology/Imaging
We offer in house radiographs and ultrasound with the ability to quickly obtain consultations from veterinary radiologists when needed. We also understand how stressful these procedures can be for some patients and are ready with several fear free techniques to help get them through this process as quickly and as stress free as possible.
In-House Pharmacy
We have a well-stocked pharmacy with many of the medications you may need for your pet. We also work with the online pharmacy Vetsource for any additional products that you may need as well as Hill’s Science Diet for many prescription diets. Best of all these two additional resources can ship directly to your home which is a great option for long term medications!
Nutritional Counseling
Proper nutrition is vital to your pet’s overall health. We are available to help make nutritional recommendations for specific medical conditions as well as to discuss tips and tricks to help get overweight pets to shed some of those extra pounds. We carry a variety of Hill’s Prescription Diets in house and a larger variety of foods that can be delivered right to your home through Vetsource.
Endoscopy
We now offer both flexible and rigid endoscopy. Endoscopy is a minimally invasive way to evaluate the inside of organs such as the esophagus, stomach, intestines, urinary system, trachea, lungs, and nasal cavity. Additionally, endoscopy can be performed to evaluate the inside of body cavities including the abdomen
